Classroom Teacher: Heather Marques
Welcome to my website and thank you for taking the time to get to know me! My name is Heather Marques. I am a teacher, avid reader, life long student, wife, and mother to an amazing 10 year old little girl and a six year old little boy. Our family has one rescue dog, Bella.
This summer, I spent my time playing with my children and doing family activities. We spent some time making sandcastles and splashing in the waves at the beach. We also went for hikes, swam in the pool, blew bubbles, drew with chalk, and played on the swing set! We had so much fun! I also kept myself busy taking three graduate courses. I can't wait to implement what I have learned!
I grew up in Hopkinton, attended Framingham State College for my BA, Lesley University for my M.Ed, and continue to take graduate level courses. I completed the SEI (Sheltered English Immersion) course mandated by the Department of Justice and I have my SEI endorsement!
I have been teaching kindergarten here at Clough School since 2005! Prior to teaching kindergarten, I taught 2nd and 3rd grade at a private school. I love teaching and I love my students! Everything that I do, I do for my students. I will always be here for your child and will always do what is in the best interest of your child.
My goal is to work collaboratively with families so that all of my students are able to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Parent Teacher communication will be key in the success of your child's first year in kindergarten. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns that you may have.
We are a team with the well being of your child at the core
of everything that we do.
Classroom Assistant: Roseann Campbell
I began working for MURSD in 2004 as a paraprofessional in our preschool. I joined the kindergarten team in 2011 as a full time paraprofessional. I live in town with my husband Scott. Our daughter Kristina graduated from Bryant University and is currently attending law school at Roger Williams University. We are so proud of her! I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going to the beach, reading books, and going for walks. Mrs. Marques and I make a wonderful team and together we are able to meet the differing needs of our students.
